The 2026 Annual Reunion will take place at The Morley Hayes Hotel in Derbyshire. Here are the details. When: 23/24 October 2026 Where: Morley Hayes Hotel and Golf Club, DE7 6QA. Accommodation: £120 per person, per night, dinner bed and breakfast. There is a single supplement of £30 but there are twin rooms available if you are prepared to share. Executive and Superior Rooms are available at the same price! So first come first served! The earlier you book the more chance of guaranteeing a Superior Room, for a fantastic price. The Reunion will follow a similar format to previous years. The Friday – Guests check in from 1500hrs. Buffet style Dinner will be served in the Pavilion Function Room @ 19.00. Menu TBC, with more details to follow in the Spring Update 2026. The Saturday – Breakfast served in the breakfast room (directly below reception). Association Excursion/Visit – Location and timings to follow in the Spring Update 2026. The 84 Sqn Association Historical Archives/Display will be available to view in the Pavilion Function room. The Association AGM will take place at 16.00 in the Pavilion Function Room. Pre-Dinner Drinks will be served at 18.30, followed by dinner at 1900 in the Pavilion Function Room. Auction/Raffle to follow after Dinner. The Sunday – Breakfast then check-out by 1100. If you wish to stay again on the Sunday night, the Hotel will offer another attractive discounted rate for us

Morley Hayes is an old dairy farm that has been converted and extended into a large Golf course/club, Hotel and Restaurants. The complex of facilities and buildings all sit around a large car park. So, you can access all buildings quickly and easily as they are all very close by. There are 3 main sections to the Morley Hayes complex. The Hotel, Roosters Bar & Restaurant and The Golf Pavilion. The Hotel – We have 28rooms (out of a possible 32) reserved for the Association. These can now be booked on a first come first served basis. The rooms are all Executive style with Juliet Balconies or Superior style with full balconies. They are very well maintained and are clean and spacious, with some excellent views over the golf course. Rooms can be booked with a non-refundable £50 deposit before 31March 2026 after which, the hotel may release unused rooms back to the public. |

The hotel building itself consists of Bedrooms, Reception,and a Breakfast room. There are no conference/meeting rooms in this building. Next to the Hotel Reception is a small 24-hour bar. There is no draught lager/beer at this bar, but nonetheless it is well stocked. Other bars on site will close at approx. 2330-0000. Roosters Bar and Restaurant – This is situated directly opposite the hotel entrance, just a few steps away.Roosters is akin to a Beefeater/Harvester/pub grub style establishment. This facility is open 1130hrs to 2330 serving excellent food throughout. So, a good option for lunch! Upstairs from Roosters is another Restaurant called The Dovecote Restaurant. This will need to be pre-booked if you choose to eat there. This is for more formal evening dining 1830-2100. So, this may be an option if you choose to stay Sunday night too? The Dovecote Restaurant also offers a Champagne Breakfast on Saturday 1000-1230 (for an additional cost and must be pre-booked). |

The Pavilion Function Room – This is where we will have exclusive use of our own Function Room from Friday evening through to Sunday morning. So, this room will be used for The History/Archive Display, The Committee Meeting, the AGM, and both Friday buffet and Saturday night pre-drinks and dinner. The Pavilion Function Room is also situated adjacent to the Hotel entrance. As you leave the hotel entrance, turn immediately right, and it is approx. 50 yards across the car park. Inside this building is our Function Room situated on the first floor overlooking the Golf Course and is adjacent to another separate establishment called The Spike Bar. The Spike Bar is open 0730-1700 serving food and drinks. So, this could be an alternative breakfast and/or lunch option. Our large function room in the Pavilion Building has a fully permanent and well stocked bar including draught beer/lager. Golf – If interested, there is a driving range, an 18 hole and a 9 hole course. There is also a cafe situated adjacent to the driving range and shop. This is a 5 minute walk along the entrance driveway back towards the main road. Alternative Accommodation – We have 28 rooms reserved. Should you be the individual looking for the 28th and subsequent rooms when the hotel is full, the best and nearest recommended alternate hotel is Breadshall Priory (Marriott style 4*). This hotel is less than 5 mins drive away. Morley Hayes have agreed to provide a free shuttle bus to/from this hotel for Friday’s and Saturday’s dinner if required. There are 3 “Special rooms” available to us1 x Full Suites and 2 x Junior Suites.Following discussion, the committee would like to take this opportunity to make some funds for our Association, which will be fed straight back into the Reunion 2025 event to make the experience better for all. The current plan will be to conduct a “Reunion Room Raffle” for these Special Rooms at the Spring Meet in April 2026. Tickets will be £2 each or 3 tickets for £5. If your ticket is drawn at the end of the Spring Meet lunch (1400 approx), you will be automatically upgraded to one of these rooms at the reunion weekend!
